Dr. Alberts served as President Obama’s United States Science Envoy to Indonesia and Pakistan from 2009 to 2011.

From 2008 to 2013, Dr. Alberts served as the Editor-in-Chief of Science Magazine, a tenure that included interviews of two heads of state, China and India.
